FC Kurdistan's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Fabio Jaccarini ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Fabio Jaccarini almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but FC Kurdistan's Alaaddin Solskjær did a great save. Du Ning Zhi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lars Sundström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 37 minutes into the match, Augustin Herlea had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alaaddin Solskjær. FC Kurdistan's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Augustin Herlea was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jaroslaw Glaza got free with Alaaddin Solskjær in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 95th minute, Elliot Nordgren left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Kurdistan fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-1. There was no doubt that FC Kurdistan were the better team. FC Kurdistan's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
