Kyle Thake hit a great ball. 22 minutes into the match, Floriana Celtics's goalkeeper Richard Lentini had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gustav Ramfjord. David Baur showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kyle Thake in the 25th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kyle Thake was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gustav Ramfjord in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Richard Lentini prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 54 minutes into the match, Kyle Thake had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of David Baur. Kukombo FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kyle Thake was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Floriana Celtics's Godwin Montesin got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 65 minutes into the match, Kukombo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Kyle Thake came free, but David Baur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Floriana Celtics's Edward Ellis got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 71 minutes into the match, Floriana Celtics's goal looked a bit too open when Gustav Ramfjord came free, but Richard Lentini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
