The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the game, Surahammar's Vincent Benett nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cazimir Angelescu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 5 minutes into the match, Hayalim Kedoshim's goal looked a bit too open when Radamel Oakley came free, but Cazimir Angelescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dawid Beninda in the 7th minute of play forced Surahammar's goalkeeper Jan Lindström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jan Lindström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gelu Chirilă, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Cazimir Angelescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adrian Kodzhabashev, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Adrian Kodzhabashev in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. When Dawid Beninda came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Hayalim Kedoshim fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dawid Beninda couldn't finish the play. 17 minutes in the game Erez Loco did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Gelu Chirilă. Radamel Oakley might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cazimir Angelescu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Radamel Oakley ran back to his position shaking his head. Cazimir Angelescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Radamel Oakley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 22 minutes into the match, Surahammar's goalkeeper Jan Lindström had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gelu Chirilă. Surahammar's Jan Lindström proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Surahammar from getting a goal against them. A throw-in in the 24th minute of the game was made by Erez Loco with Gelu Chirilă as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Surahammar's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hayalim Kedoshim the free kick. In the 46th match minute, Surahammar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vincent Benett to maneuver through the defense. Radamel Oakley struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Cazimir Angelescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Surahammar. After the first half Surahammar were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Johny Konings in the 80th minute of play forced Surahammar's goalkeeper Jan Lindström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 82nd minute Laurențiu Pora shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan Lindström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jan Lindström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Laurențiu Pora, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. After some careless play in the Surahammar defense, Johny Konings kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jan Lindström. The Surahammar fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jan Lindström should have stopped the shot. Surahammar's Jan Lindström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Laurențiu Pora in the 88th minute of play. If André Pettersson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
