But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Miroslaw Pazura couldn't finish the play. 16 minutes into the game, Michael Kimutai was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tatooine Local Club's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave The Huns the free kick. Tatooine Local Club's Paul Ogot proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Tatooine Local Club from getting a goal against them. The Huns's Vintilă Murgu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fredrick Ntalami in the 29th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 39 minutes, Ronan McCunn took a quick shot and it went in 4-0 without a chance for Paul Ogot to make any attempt to save it. Michael Kimutai got a throw-in 42 minutes in the game and the ball was received by James Wanjiru. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

The wind increased when Ronan McCunn made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Ronan McCunn ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Paul Ogot was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. Paul Ogot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronan McCunn, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Ronan McCunn might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Paul Ogot. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. The Huns had won after a very even match.
