Maarten Stubbe ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 20th minute Hector-Luis Palomar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claus Himschoot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 21 minutes into the match, PomeziaRamblers's goal looked a bit too open when Virgilio Chepe came free, but Claus Himschoot reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. PomeziaRamblers's Claus Himschoot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maarten Stubbe in the 24th minute of play. Freddie Ljungberg took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Prospero Donzel. Prospero Donzel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Freddie Ljungberg came free with the goalkeeper in the 33rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Prospero Donzel could save by the left post. Claus Himschoot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hector-Luis Palomar, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. In the 37th minute of the match SuperFuerza TM got a corner. PomeziaRamblers's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Claus Himschoot was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Hector-Luis Palomar showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 53 minute of play. Claus Himschoot stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Maarten Stubbe's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. In the 59th minute Benjamin Ülger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Prospero Donzel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hector-Luis Palomar got free with Claus Himschoot in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some careless play in the PomeziaRamblers defense, Virgilio Chepe kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Claus Himschoot. The PomeziaRamblers fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Claus Himschoot should have stopped the shot. When the match had gone on for 64 minutes, Virgilio Chepe took a quick shot and it went in 1-5 without a chance for Claus Himschoot to make any attempt to save it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Freddie Ljungberg in the 72nd minute of play forced SuperFuerza TM's goalkeeper Prospero Donzel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
