The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th minute Ramon Pueblo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Celso Javiar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Milferio defense, Ramon Pueblo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Celso Javiar. The Milferio fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Celso Javiar should have stopped the shot. Jonatan Iraitz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Big Hands made a huge save. Milferio's Celso Javiar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cirilo Arlo in the 14th minute of play. With a little luck, BORBOTONES FUTBOL CLUB's Big Hands got control of the ball when Prospero Avellaneda tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Milferio getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Jonatan Iraitz hit a great ball. Ramon Pueblo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Celso Javiar having to make a save. Celso Javiar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ramon Pueblo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Prospero Avellaneda recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Celso Javiar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ramon Pueblo in the 26th minute of play. Big Hands made an important save on a dangerous shot by Prospero Avellaneda in the 27th minute. Big Hands showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Prospero Avellaneda, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Celso Javiar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cirilo Arlo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Placido Gilabert fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored BORBOTONES FUTBOL CLUB's protests and gave Placido Gilabert a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, BORBOTONES FUTBOL CLUB's Placido Gilabert got a free kick in the 43rd minute. If Ramon Pueblo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 46th minute Ramon Pueblo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Celso Javiar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ramon Pueblo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Celso Javiar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Milferio's Lucjan Degutis was substituted for Prospero Avellaneda. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pablo Herensuge stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Celso Javiar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ramon Pueblo, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. BORBOTONES FUTBOL CLUB's Chris Velde quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Jailson da Mata, made in the 58th minute of the game. Celso Javiar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ramon Pueblo in the 60th minute of the match. Ramon Pueblo might have been able to make a better finish in the 69th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Celso Javiar. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ramon Pueblo ran back to his position shaking his head. Milferio's Terry Jamieson was substituted for Pablo Herensuge. 72 minutes into the match, BORBOTONES FUTBOL CLUB's goal looked a bit too open when Terry Jamieson came free, but Big Hands reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Ramon Pueblo could shoot a difficult shot in the 74th minute, which Celso Javiar however easily saved by the left post. 81 minutes into the match, Milferio's goalkeeper Celso Javiar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ramon Pueblo. The audience was convinced that Terry Jamieson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Big Hands was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Terry Jamieson in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Big Hands saved BORBOTONES FUTBOL CLUB from getting behind. In the 93rd match minute, BORBOTONES FUTBOL CLUB was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lakis Kaminaris to maneuver through the defense. Milferio made a substitution. Enzo Tono replaced Jonatan Iraitz. In the 94th minute, Lakis Kaminaris hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Terry Jamieson in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Big Hands prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
