Anderbye FC's Horácio Linhares quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. The audience was convinced that Leopoldo Afonso's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ulisses Toledo was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. Uriel Paio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. John Valeny fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ulisses Toledo having to interfere. The Characate FC fans' excitement grew in the 18th match minute when Characate FC's Leopoldo Afonso looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 21stth minute of the game Leopoldo Afonso who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Anderbye FC's Ulisses Toledo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Leopoldo Afonso's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ulisses Toledo was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. Ernesto Txanton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Ulisses Toledo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ulisses Toledo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leopoldo Afonso in the 28th minute of the match. Ulisses Toledo came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Characate FC's Leopoldo Afonso. But to his dismay, Leopoldo Afonso quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. When Characate FC's Leopoldo Afonso in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Anderbye FC's goalie prevented a goal. The audience was convinced that Leopoldo Afonso's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ulisses Toledo was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. When Characate FC's Leopoldo Afonso in the 35th minute got a chance for a shot 35th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Ulisses Toledo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leopoldo Afonso, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. If Nestor Gaxan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 45thth minute of the game Leopoldo Afonso who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Anderbye FC's Ulisses Toledo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Leopoldo Afonso stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Anderbye FC's Ulisses Toledo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leopoldo Afonso in the 52nd minute of play. Ulisses Toledo made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Gerardo Santikurtz sent off a good shot on target. Characate FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Leopoldo Afonso in the 57th minute. The corner led Characate FC's Leopoldo Afonso to fire away a dangerous shot which Ulisses Toledo despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Leopoldo Afonso might have been able to make a better finish in the 60th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ulisses Toledo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leopoldo Afonso ran back to his position shaking his head. Uriel Paio struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Ulisses Toledo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Characate FC. Anderbye FC's Ulisses Toledo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leopoldo Afonso in the 64th minute of play. Leopoldo Afonso was slow to take the kick. During this time Characate FC's players had a chance to rest. Ulisses Toledo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leopoldo Afonso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Anderbye FC's attentive Adilson Proença managed to snatch the ball when Uriel Paio made a throw-in in the 80th minute of the game. Ricardinho Correia kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Gerardo Santikurtz struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Ulisses Toledo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Characate FC. A collision led to Anderbye FC getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Bruno de Amaral hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Anderbye FC defense, Leopoldo Afonso kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ulisses Toledo. The Anderbye FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ulisses Toledo should have stopped the shot. With a little luck, Anderbye FC's Ulisses Toledo got control of the ball when Leopoldo Afonso tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Leopoldo Afonso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
