In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's goalkeeper Iacob Povară, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 21 minutes into the match, F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's goal looked a bit too open when Lei Feng Yan came free, but Iacob Povară reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Iacob Povară showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Owsiak in the 23rd minute of the match. Dan Petrescu kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. With an all-out effort, S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Iacob Povară threw himself towards the right post 34 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Lei Feng Yan, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The referee gave Percy da Fonseca a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 62nd minute, Luca Pancu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's Iacob Povară played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geovani Medeiros in the 64th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's Francisc Ciocoiu slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Aurelio Walme. That made the score 0-2 after 68 minutes of play. Gláuber Tande's late challenge caught a F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gláuber Tande helped the player get up and apologised. After 72 played minutes S.E.R. Caxias do Sul got a freekick which was hit by Gláuber Tande. In the 73rd minute of the match Luca Pancu shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Aurelio Walme showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. A hard shot 81 in the game by Florin Moscu from a close distance when the talented Aurelio Walme managed to make a qualified save. S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's players were relieved. After 84 played minutes S.E.R. Caxias do Sul got a freekick which was hit by Geovani Medeiros. In the 91st minute of the match, Florin Moscu got a very nice opportunity to score, but Aurelio Walme was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After a rather tough play, S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Daniel Owsiak got a free kick in the 95th minute. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched F.C CLUJ MEDICINA eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
