After 6 minutes Fire Devils's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ezequiel Ixaka who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Ezequiel Ixaka got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Odysseus Lindenmann quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Fire Devils's Odysseus Lindenmann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomás Gaizko in the 8th minute of play. Tomás Gaizko took the ball and in the 10 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Odysseus Lindenmann. Odysseus Lindenmann dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. The supporters of Fire Devils booed when Rejunte de perros was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Seyit Sözmen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcelo Armani acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 16th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Garson Pfäffli. Tomás Gaizko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomás Gaizko in the 19th minute of play forced Fire Devils's goalkeeper Odysseus Lindenmann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Borys Barys had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 25th minute, Tomás Gaizko made a precise shot to the right of Odysseus Lindenmann. Fire Devils's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Tomás Gaizko struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Odysseus Lindenmann didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rejunte de perros. After some careless play in the Fire Devils defense, Tomás Gaizko kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Odysseus Lindenmann. The Fire Devils fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Odysseus Lindenmann should have stopped the shot. After 36 played minutes Fire Devils got a freekick which was hit by Narcis Druță. Tomás Gaizko might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Odysseus Lindenmann. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomás Gaizko ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 41st minute, Tomás Gaizko left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rejunte de perros fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. Odysseus Lindenmann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomás Gaizko in the 45th minute of play. Rejunte de perros were awarded a corner in the 46th minute after Fire Devils's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ezequiel Ixaka took the corner. The corner ended in Ezequiel Ixaka almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Fire Devils's Odysseus Lindenmann did a great save. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
Fire Devils's Falko Domini was substituted for Edmílson Gaúcho. Fire Devils's Robin Andermatt was substituted for Garson Pfäffli. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Thomás Barral made a kick off. Rejunte de perros's Gabriel Tulio quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Ismael Kalnik, made in the 54th minute of the game. The audience was convinced that Borys Barys's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Odysseus Lindenmann was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. Falko Domini's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcelo Armani read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. Marcelo Armani made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dariusz Nalaskowski in the 76th minute of play. After 78 played minutes Fire Devils got a freekick which was hit by Ismael Kalnik. Rejunte de perros's Ivan Errolan was substituted for Aaron Gallagher. After 80 played minutes Fire Devils got a freekick which was hit by Ismael Kalnik. When Mathieu De Winter fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rejunte de perros's protests and gave Mathieu De Winter a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Rejunte de perros's Mathieu De Winter got a free kick in the 82nd minute. In the 85th minute, Fire Devils's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Ivan Errolan fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Rejunte de perros's Ivan Errolan got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the Fire Devils defense, Thomás Barral kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Odysseus Lindenmann. The Fire Devils fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Odysseus Lindenmann should have stopped the shot. Odysseus Lindenmann made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Thomás Barral sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Fire Devils booed when Rejunte de perros was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Seyit Sözmen didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Fire Devils's Falko Domini got a free kick in the 94th minute. A collision led to Fire Devils getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Robin Andermatt hit a great ball. After having played for 98 minutes, Ivan Errolan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rejunte de perros's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ivan Errolan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Rejunte de perros supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Rejunte de perros would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
