When Arnold Schwarzenegger came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the MAFFIAN fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arnold Schwarzenegger couldn't finish the play. Marty Schofield sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 15 minutes, Josh Wiltshire mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Harchester United and the MAFFIAN players grew even worse after the yellow card. Josh Wiltshire hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jean-Claude Van Damme in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Thomas Mitchell saved Harchester United from getting behind. MAFFIAN's Kjell-Arne Hultman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save MAFFIAN from getting a goal against them. In the 19th minute of the match Harchester United got a corner. MAFFIAN's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Les Cooke ran over to the corner to take the kick. Harchester United's Les Cooke was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Kjell-Arne Hultman in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Josh Wiltshire sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of MAFFIAN booed when Harchester United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Les Cooke didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 34 minutes, Jean-Claude Van Damme managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MAFFIAN's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jean-Claude Van Damme was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arnold Schwarzenegger in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Thomas Mitchell saved Harchester United from getting behind. Kev Higgins might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kjell-Arne Hultman. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kev Higgins ran back to his position shaking his head. Kjell-Arne Hultman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kev Higgins in the 42nd minute. In the 43rd minute Arnold Schwarzenegger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thomas Mitchell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thomas Mitchell came out of the goal in the 48th minute to try and stop a shot by MAFFIAN's Arnold Schwarzenegger. But to his dismay, Arnold Schwarzenegger quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jean-Claude Van Damme to make the kick off. After having played for 54 minutes, Sylvester Stallone managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MAFFIAN's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sylvester Stallone was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kjell-Arne Hultman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kev Higgins, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. 72 minutes into the game, Arnold Schwarzenegger recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Thomas Mitchell. Arnold Schwarzenegger showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. Kjell-Arne Hultman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Josh Wiltshire, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Harchester United's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Les Cooke in the 80th minute. After having played for 84 minutes, Kev Higgins managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Harchester United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kev Higgins was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sylvester Stallone could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Thomas Mitchell made a huge save. If Kev Higgins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thomas Mitchell made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arnold Schwarzenegger in the 90th minute. When Les Cooke fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Harchester United's protests and gave Les Cooke a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Harchester United getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Les Cooke hit a great ball. In the 95th minute, Sylvester Stallone hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Callum Pell kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match.
The Harchester United supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching MAFFIAN's performance. The match ended with a win for MAFFIAN.
