In the 12th minute Fernando Cardozo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emanuel Jacob saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Juventud Unida S L's Emanuel Jacob proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Juventud Unida S L from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcelito Putilin got free with Alfredo Aguilar in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Juventud Unida S L's zone, Nelson Haedo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emanuel Jacob came out of the goal and Nelson Haedo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nelson Haedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Emanuel Jacob tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Emanuel Jacob came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by Club Olimpia's Roque Gora. But to his dismay, Roque Gora quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. After some careless play in the Juventud Unida S L defense, Nelson Haedo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Emanuel Jacob. The Juventud Unida S L fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Emanuel Jacob should have stopped the shot.
