Fausto De Bonis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dariusz Wos, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. Fausto De Bonis didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dariusz Wos went, in the 8th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 13th minute Alfonso Giovannelli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Peter Schmeichel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Dariusz Wos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fausto De Bonis was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. In the 17th minute, Dariusz Wos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The A.C. Patagonia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dariusz Wos in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fausto De Bonis saved LATIUM from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Dariusz Wos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fausto De Bonis was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. In the 25th minute of the match A.C. Patagonia got a corner. LATIUM's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Szymon Jaszyna ran over to the corner to take the kick. After 31 played minutes A.C. Patagonia got a freekick which was hit by Szymon Jaszyna. In the 47thth minute of the game Dariusz Wos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but LATIUM's Fausto De Bonis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ludwig Wassenius to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ludwig Wassenius got free with Fausto De Bonis in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fausto De Bonis came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by A.C. Patagonia's Dariusz Wos. But to his dismay, Dariusz Wos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. In the 61st minute of the match A.C. Patagonia got a corner. LATIUM's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Szymon Jaszyna ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led A.C. Patagonia's Amerigo Ianni to a score. 0-4 in the 61st minute. Aldo Di Carlo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 74 minutes into the match, A.C. The corner went over the outstretched arms of LATIUM's goalie and right to Demy Vennegoor. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. LATIUM's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. LATIUM made a substitution. Attilio De Tommasi replaced Cristoforo Caiola. If Aldo Di Carlo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 80th match minute, LATIUM was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfonso Giovannelli to maneuver through the defense. Aldo Di Carlo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fausto De Bonis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. A.C. Patagonia's Aldo Di Carlo got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fausto De Bonis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aldo Di Carlo's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. Donovan Ambrose got a throw-in 94 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Amerigo Buffone. In the 95thth minute of the game Aldo Di Carlo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but LATIUM's Fausto De Bonis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 97th minute A.C. Patagonia were awarded a corner. Szymon Jaszyna went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Szymon Jaszyna got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Fausto De Bonis quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. A.C. Patagonia's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
