The supporters of Casette booed when FC Aquile Azzurre was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bel Cross didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Aquile Azzurre's goalkeeper Sabin Pânzaru, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Reg Weeks hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Fortunato Moschetta made in the 35th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Ercole Scandella however managed to control. Carlo Borgatello did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 3-0 to the left of a surprised Alberto Marchegiani 37 minutes into the match. The referee showed Kajetan Wyrzykowski the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 43 played minutes FC Aquile Azzurre got a freekick which was hit by Kajetan Wyrzykowski. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Alessandro Coscia made the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Casette's goal looked a bit too open when Carlo Borgatello came free, but Alberto Marchegiani reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 56 minutes, Carlo Borgatello put it in 5-0 from a short distance just to the right of Alberto Marchegiani. The audience was convinced that Alessandro Coscia's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sabin Pânzaru was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. FC Aquile Azzurre's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
