In the 6th minute of the match, Waldemar Gierlach got a very nice opportunity to score, but Vintilă Murgu was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. A collision led to Champions Iasi getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Waldemar Gierlach hit a great ball. Through an outstanding action, after 13 minutes, Vintilă Murgu successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After a rather tough play, Champions Iasi's Eusebiu Crăciunaș got a free kick in the 16th minute. Champions Iasi's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ronan McCunn was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Champions Iasi's goalkeeper Rouven Nussli, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 40th minute, Ronan McCunn ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rouven Nussli was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Rouven Nussli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronan McCunn in the 46th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Waldemar Gierlach to make the kick off. Fabian Zăreanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vintilă Murgu having to interfere. With a little luck, Champions Iasi's Rouven Nussli got control of the ball when Ronan McCunn tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of The Huns booed when Champions Iasi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eusebiu Crăciunaș didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ronan McCunn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Rouven Nussli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vintilă Murgu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 69 minutes into the match, The Huns's Ronan McCunn sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rouven Nussli narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The Huns's Ronan McCunn got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 74 minutes into the match, Fabian Zăreanu notched a goal, 1-4, to the right of The Huns's Vintilă Murgu. Vintilă Murgu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronan McCunn in the 80th minute of play forced Champions Iasi's goalkeeper Rouven Nussli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Huns were furious when Răzvan Gorjanu was red carded, 88 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 88 minutes into the game, one of The Huns:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. A nice corner shot did that Pontus Fagrell got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Vintilă Murgu quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 98 minutes into the match, Pontus Fagrell had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vintilă Murgu. The Huns's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pontus Fagrell was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-4. The Huns were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Champions Iasi's much stronger midfield.
