The K.F.MALIQI fans' excitement grew in the 17th match minute when K.F.MALIQI's Su Xu Xi looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The corner ended in Dumitru Pantelimon almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but K.F.MALIQI's Lew Yashin did a great save. Su Xu Xi hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. A collision led to K.F.MALIQI getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Hassan Diop hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Radu Păvăloae in the 37th minute of play forced K.F.MALIQI's goalkeeper Lew Yashin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aurelian Coporan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Caradoc Enriquez in the 41st minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.
The wind increased when Su Xu Xi made the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes K.F.MALIQI got a freekick which was hit by Zapryan Sakarov. With his leg Aurelian Coporan managed to avoid a goal in the 54thth minute, when K.F.MALIQI's Su Xu Xi fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Su Xu Xi got free with Aurelian Coporan in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Academia Rio booed when K.F.MALIQI was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronaldão Moreira didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sergiu Coșeriu during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. K.F.MALIQI made a substitution. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched K.F.MALIQI eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
