In the 9th minute Dario Betzanos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ingvar Nykvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fernandez Vizcarreto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ingvar Nykvist having to make a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Santiago Silva got free with Hilario Pesquera in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. ΠΑΟΚ FC's Ingvar Nykvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dario Betzanos in the 23rd minute of play. Hilario Pesquera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmondo Del Monte in the 28th minute of the match. Hilario Pesquera made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Santiago Silva sent off a good shot on target. ΠΑΟΚ FC's Ingvar Nykvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dario Betzanos in the 32nd minute of play. 38 minutes into the match, ΠΑΟΚ FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alan Petersen came free, but Ingvar Nykvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ingvar Nykvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dario Betzanos in the 41st minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Santiago Silva stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Santiago Silva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Golden Dragón F.C's Modris Pavējš was substituted for Alan Petersen. Hilario Pesquera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmondo Del Monte, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmondo Del Monte in the 61st minute of play forced Golden Dragón F.C's goalkeeper Hilario Pesquera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The corner led Golden Dragón F.C's Paşa Ali Rahmi to fire away a dangerous shot which Ingvar Nykvist despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Petros Mirtsos managed to get in a good position for a shot. ΠΑΟΚ FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Petros Mirtsos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hilario Pesquera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Golden Dragón F.C made a substitution. Tadeo Olmedilla replaced Dario Betzanos. 72 minutes into the match, Tadeo Olmedilla notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of ΠΑΟΚ FC's Ingvar Nykvist. Golden Dragón F.C's Hilario Pesquera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sotiris Zacharakis in the 88th minute of play.
