Tomas Brandt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pan Jian Yong, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 8th minute of the match Lions United got a corner. Alianza Trujillo's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gao Cheng Yun ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Gao Cheng Yun almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Alianza Trujillo's Tomas Brandt did a great save. 11 minutes into the match, Lions United's goalkeeper Steve De Wilde had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marcelito Vivar. With a little luck, Lions United's Steve De Wilde got control of the ball when Olly Morgan tried to sneak it across the goal line. Olly Morgans short, quick shot in the 17thth minute got Steve De Wilde to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 18 minutes into the match, Alianza Trujillo's goal looked a bit too open when Pan Jian Yong came free, but Tomas Brandt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 20 minutes into the match, Alianza Trujillo's goal looked a bit too open when Pablo Solari came free, but Tomas Brandt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tomas Brandt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pablo Solari, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pan Jian Yong in the 26th minute of play forced Alianza Trujillo's goalkeeper Tomas Brandt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 32 minutes into the game, Szilveszter Szegh recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Steve De Wilde. Bertil Ekström hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. In the 41stth minute of the game Pablo Solari who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Alianza Trujillo's Tomas Brandt was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcelito Vivar in the 44th minute of play forced Lions United's goalkeeper Steve De Wilde to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Steve De Wilde made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcelito Vivar in the 47th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Alianza Trujillo's Xinaro Magarinos was substituted for Christian Kabasele. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cayetano Montez was the one to do the kick off. Rafli Leonard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Tomas Brandt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Steve De Wilde showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Szilveszter Szegh in the 57th minute of the match. After having played for 62 minutes, Pan Jian Yong managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lions United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pan Jian Yong was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Pablo Solari kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Tomas Brandt. That made the score 1-1 in the 64 minute of play. Steve De Wilde showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cayetano Montez in the 69th minute of the match. Alianza Trujillo's Tomas Brandt proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Alianza Trujillo from getting a goal against them. In the 76th minute Pan Jian Yong shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomas Brandt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lions United's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gao Cheng Yun in the 87th minute. Gao Cheng Yun hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Marcelito Vivar hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
