Igor Taffarel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Beto Márcico in the 3rd minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Davi Dal Bello kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Matias Ceandro. That made the score 1-0 in the 12 minute of play. Matias Ceandro made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Ronaldo Dal Bello sent off a good shot on target. Davi Dal Bello made in the 20th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Asesinos Por Naturaleza's Baltasar Bertol. In the 22nd minute Felipe Dal Bello shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matias Ceandro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Hugo Lamonica had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ronaldo Dal Bello got free with Matias Ceandro in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 26 minutes into the match, Felipe Dal Bello dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Matias Ceandro, 2-0. Igor Taffarel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rui Furtado, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute.
