Despite this Juan Egoitz quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 28th minute, Zbyszek Gaszynski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zbyszko Moczkiewicz in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tomáš Houdek saved Lex Academy from getting behind. Zorongo FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Arvid Forssell in the 34th minute. After having played for 43 minutes, Bernardo Novaes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lex Academy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bernardo Novaes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Zbyszko Moczkiewicz to make the kick off. Juan Egoitz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernardo Novaes in the 54th minute of the match. Zorongo FC's Goyo Blazquez quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Vivaldo Fantini, made in the 55th minute of the game. The audience was convinced that Bernardo Novaes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Juan Egoitz was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gerardo Giro got free with Tomáš Houdek in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 95th match minute, Lex Academy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Genaro Serapio to maneuver through the defense. After 96 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Lex Academy! Lex Academy's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
