Luis Castillero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dário Diniz, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. That made the score 1-3 in the 78 minute of play. Gabriel Chavez's late challenge caught a Club Deportivo Águila's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gabriel Chavez helped the player get up and apologised. In the 85th minute, Gabriel Chavez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Flamengo de San Blás's Luis Castillero got control of the ball when Ivan Viscarra tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Club Deportivo Águila supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Club Deportivo Águila would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
