In the 3rd minute Can Tapık shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luan Lopes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Forza Beşiktaş were awarded a corner in the 4th minute after SAN DIEGO's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Vincent Paimboeuf took the corner. After taking down the ball on Forza Beşiktaş's corner Ozan Sekib fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Luan Lopes quite easily take care of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Can Tapık in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luan Lopes saved SAN DIEGO from getting behind. Can Tapık blasted a shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luan Lopes having to make a save. Luan Lopes made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Can Tapık sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in SAN DIEGO's zone, Can Tapık stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luan Lopes came out of the goal and Can Tapık tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 22nd minute, Can Tapık made a precise shot to the right of Luan Lopes. SAN DIEGO's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. With a little luck, SAN DIEGO's Luan Lopes got control of the ball when Can Tapık tried to sneak it across the goal line. Can Tapık might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luan Lopes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Can Tapık ran back to his position shaking his head. After 32 played minutes SAN DIEGO got a freekick which was hit by Ice Stefanov. Can Tapık had several of the SAN DIEGO's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 37 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 3-0 score and a disappointed Luan Lopes as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 42nd minute, Vincent Paimboeuf had to leave the field with a concussion. Ice Stefanov got his second yellow card in the match during the 42nd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The supporters of Forza Beşiktaş booed when SAN DIEGO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ice Stefanov didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Can Tapık came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Forza Beşiktaş fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Can Tapık couldn't finish the play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Menduh Georgievski made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 52 minutes, Gitano Rubiero managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Forza Beşiktaş's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gitano Rubiero was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Can Tapık might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luan Lopes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Can Tapık ran back to his position shaking his head. Luan Lopes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Can Tapık, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 61st match minute, Forza Beşiktaş was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Franco Baresi to maneuver through the defense. Radomir Werra made in the 65th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Menduh Georgievski immediately put the ball in play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Can Tapık in the 66th minute of play forced SAN DIEGO's goalkeeper Luan Lopes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Radomir Werra during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 67th match minute, SAN DIEGO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Radomir Werra to maneuver through the defense. Can Tapık scored 4-0 in the 71st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Luan Lopes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 75 minutes into the game, one of SAN DIEGO:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Forza Beşiktaş a penalty, 76 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Ismael Chago, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of SAN DIEGO's Luan Lopes. 5-0. Luan Lopes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Can Tapık, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. After 82 minutes, Can Tapık made it 6-0 with a short kick to the right side. SAN DIEGO's Luan Lopes tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Şahap Akın hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. If Can Tapık had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Can Tapık in the 88th minute of play forced SAN DIEGO's goalkeeper Luan Lopes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Forza Beşiktaş's Selmi Kayı quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Radomir Werra, made in the 94th minute of the game. 95 minutes into the game, Forza Beşiktaş's Can Tapık nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Luan Lopes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. Forza Beşiktaş walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
