In the 16th match minute, FC Higher was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bertil Askstedt to maneuver through the defense. 20 minutes into the game, Esbjörn Sefastsson lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Nelsinho Valadares. Nassan FC were awarded a corner in the 26th minute after FC Higher's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jakub Osikowicz took the corner. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jörn Eckegren in the 28th minute of play forced Nassan FC's goalkeeper Nelsinho Valadares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 40 minutes, Pål Beck mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Higher and the Nassan FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. FC Higher's Roger Pilgren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felipe Caicedo in the 48th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jörn Eckegren to strike the kick off in the second half. Nelsinho Valadares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Esbjörn Sefastsson in the 68th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Nassan FC's zone, Jörn Eckegren stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nelsinho Valadares came out of the goal and Jörn Eckegren tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Roger Pilgren made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Omar Sivori sent off a good shot on target. FC Higher's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
