An unexpectedly hard shot by Wanderson Melo in the 13th minute of play forced Flamengo FSCMZ's goalkeeper Dmytro Novak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dmytro Novak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wanderson Melo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Flamengo FSCMZ's Dmytro Novak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wanderson Melo in the 22nd minute of play. If Ramón Furtado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 32nd minute Ronaldo Crispín shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dmytro Novak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to São Paulo F.C. getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Murillo Cordeiro hit a great ball. After 35th play minutes Ramón Furtado shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Pedro Paulo de Azevedo and just under the crossbar into goal. São Paulo F.C.'s Pedro Paulo de Azevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ramón Furtado in the 46th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ronaldo Crispín to make the kick off. Pedro Paulo de Azevedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ramón Furtado in the 53rd minute of the match. Ramón Furtado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of Flamengo FSCMZ booed when São Paulo F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dorian Quadros didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ramón Furtado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to São Paulo F.C. getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Murillo Cordeiro hit a great ball. The supporters of São Paulo F.C. booed when Flamengo FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ramón Furtado didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 95th match minute, Flamengo FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stefan Banaszak to maneuver through the defense.
