Xavon Pinazas hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. If Gilvan Falcão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Xavon Pinazas charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Xavon Pinazas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Amazonas getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. With his leg Leon Dytrych managed to avoid a goal in the 61stth minute, when Botafogo MZRJ's Gilmar Couto fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Gilmar Couto was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Gilmar Couto might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Leon Dytrych. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gilmar Couto ran back to his position shaking his head. Gilmar Couto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Leon Dytrych made a huge save. Amazonas's defense didn't have a chance, in the 72nd minute, when Gilmar Couto scored to the left of an out of position Leon Dytrych, making the score, 1-4. In the 77th minute of the game Niceto Orallo made a throw-in which Xavon Pinazas played forward. After having played for 78 minutes, Juvenal Camargo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Botafogo MZRJ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Juvenal Camargo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Leon Dytrych took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jailson Capixaba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 94th minute, Gilvan Falcão reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Leon Dytrych. The goal made the score 2-5. Botafogo MZRJ's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
