Mané Quirino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gwidon Cwojdak in the 15th minute of play. A collision led to Goiás Esporte Clube getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Goiás Esporte Clube's Osmar de Moraes got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 余永川 received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Mané Quirino came out and tried to block the shot, but 余永川 slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 58th minute. Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's Douglas Botelho was substituted for Hélder Lara. Mané Quirino was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but 余永川 showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 64 minute of play. After 70 played minutes Goiás Esporte Clube got a freekick which was hit by Christian Carioca. Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's Isidro Ferman was substituted for Pedro Paulo Dante. Luiz Guilherme Cearense ran over to the corner to take the kick. Luiz Guilherme Cearense made a great header on Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's corner, it was just that Goiás Esporte Clube's Mané Quirino managed to reach the ball for a save. Cruzeiro Esporte Clube played a much better game than Goiás Esporte Clube and deserved their victory. The Goiás Esporte Clube players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
