In the 16th minute Yaya Sow shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ramón Abreu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 18 minutes into the game, Murillo Cordeiro threw the ball into play from the sideline. ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙'s Valério Santana quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 19 minutes into the game, ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙'s Erasmo Cardoso nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tiago Godoi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dorian Quadros in the 22nd minute of play forced ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙'s goalkeeper Ramón Abreu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙'s Erasmo Cardoso slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Tiago Godoi. That made the score 3-0 after 34 minutes of play. Ramón Abreu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yaya Sow in the 36th minute of the match. When Yaya Sow got free in front of the goal in the 37th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Ramón Abreu was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. After a rather tough play, São Paulo F.C.'s Murillo Cordeiro got a free kick in the 41st minute. 45 minutes into the match, ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙'s Erasmo Cardoso sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tiago Godoi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Tiago Godoi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erasmo Cardoso, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute.

Tiago Godoi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erasmo Cardoso in the 80th minute of play. After 88 minutes, Murillo Cordeiro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the São Paulo F.C. and the ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙ players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 88th match minute, São Paulo F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Murillo Cordeiro to maneuver through the defense. A sloppy throw-in by Murillo Cordeiro in the 91st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙'s Valério Santana. After 93 minutes of play, ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙'s Erasmo Cardoso made it 5-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tiago Godoi was left in no man's land by his defense there! ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙'s supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
