Fernando Morientes ran over to the corner to take the kick. Jaime Senin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabian Czeszejko in the 11th minute of play. With splendid footwork Efrain Incendio arrived in front of goal to shoot 2-0 by the left pole in the game's 13th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabian Czeszejko in the 17th minute of play forced ľƼ-6-ľȜ ♆ ƬЄ ƢƲЄƦЄƧ MƛƬƛƦ's goalkeeper Jaime Senin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Olimpia HSB. 48 minutes into the match, ľƼ-6-ľȜ ♆ ƬЄ ƢƲЄƦЄƧ MƛƬƛƦ's goal looked a bit too open when Fabian Czeszejko came free, but Jaime Senin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

After some careless play in the Olimpia HSB defense, Gust Mathijs kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tolek Kiszkiel. The Olimpia HSB fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tolek Kiszkiel should have stopped the shot. In the 58th minute of the match, Fabian Czeszejko tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jaime Senin saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The crowd rose to their feet as Olimpia HSB's Fabian Czeszejko slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jaime Senin. That made the score 3-1 after 63 minutes of play. Jaime Senin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fabian Czeszejko in the 70th minute.
