Qin Kun Xi started the match with the kick off. Qin Kun Xi struck a weak shot in the 6th minute. Richard Textex didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Velez sarsfield. 12 minutes into the match, Velez sarsfield's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tonete came free, but Narciso Frechoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Antonio Perrando fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Narciso Frechoso having to interfere. Alejo Larra charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alejo Larra the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Alejo Larra hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Qin Kun Xi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Richard Textex made a huge save. Qin Kun Xi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Richard Textex having to make a save. In the 31st minute Alberto Tonete shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Narciso Frechoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 36th minute, Armand Callahan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Through an outstanding action, after 37 minutes, Richard Textex successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After 40 played minutes Velez sarsfield got a freekick which was hit by Benjamin Orixe. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alberto Tonete was the one to do the kick off. Nereo Jakes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Narciso Frechoso having to interfere. Richard Textex took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Qin Kun Xi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Velez sarsfield made a substitution. Walter Pico replaced Qin Kun Xi. If Walter Pico had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A throw-in in the 68th minute of the game was made by Wulf Köllner with Eulalio Otsando as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. After 68 minutes, Emil Zbytniewski mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Velez sarsfield and the Newpi Academy players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 68th match minute, Velez sarsfield was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emil Zbytniewski to maneuver through the defense. The Velez sarsfield fans' excitement grew in the 71st match minute when Velez sarsfield's Walter Pico looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. After 85 played minutes Newpi Academy got a freekick which was hit by Wulf Köllner. Velez sarsfield's attentive Emil Zbytniewski managed to snatch the ball when Salvador Ermengol made a throw-in in the 88th minute of the game. Richard Textex made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emil Zbytniewski in the 90th minute of play. Newpi Academy's Richard Textex played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Walter Pico in the 92nd minute of play. Newpi Academy's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
