The Sommerein fans' excitement grew in the 21st match minute when Sommerein's Ulrich Krützfeld looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Braulio Barros kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice moves Adriana Guipuzkoa could shoot a difficult shot in the 29th minute, which Peter Sudhoff however easily saved by the left post. Peter Sudhoff was out of position in the 37 minute of play, and Adriana Guipuzkoa capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Adriana Guipuzkoa really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. After having played for 41 minutes, Stefan Daun managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sommerein's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stefan Daun was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 43 played minutes Sommerein got a freekick which was hit by Ralf Katzer. After some careless play in the Topadora FC defense, Stefan Daun kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julian Lazcano. The Topadora FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julian Lazcano should have stopped the shot. The Topadora FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Sommerein were winning 1-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dionisio Roldanillo to strike the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Stefan Daun in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julian Lazcano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Julian Lazcano made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Thomas Geske sent off a good shot on target. If Stefan Daun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 64th minute, Wilhelm Rittel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 71 minutes in the game, Ralf Katzer fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Julian Lazcano having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Julius Schlacher managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sommerein's supporters rose to their feet, but Julius Schlacher was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julian Lazcano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Adriana Guipuzkoa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute.
