In the 11th minute, Thomas Geske made a precise shot to the right of 杜珂峰. 三明小吃队's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Thomas Geske recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 14th match minute, Sommerein was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ralf Katzer to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as 齐升诚 kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Peter Sudhoff. That made the score 4-1 in the 23 minute of play. With an all-out effort, 三明小吃队's Peter Sudhoff threw himself towards the right post 33 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from 齐升诚, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-3.
The wind increased when Stefan Daun made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Sommerein's Stefan Daun ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind 杜珂峰. 杜珂峰 yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 5-4. 孙雄广 took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Peter Sudhoff. Peter Sudhoff dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-4. After a rather tough play, 三明小吃队's 袁斌斐 got a free kick in the 58th minute. In the 59th minute, Thomas Geske got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Thomas Geske had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When 唐岚悦 fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored 三明小吃队's protests and gave 唐岚悦 a yellow card for diving instead. In the 73rd match minute, 三明小吃队 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by 唐岚悦 to maneuver through the defense. 杜珂峰 showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stefan Daun, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. 傅明翔 lost his temper 82 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Sommerein were awarded a corner in the 84th minute after 三明小吃队's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. The 三明小吃队 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 9-4. 杜珂峰 made an important save on a dangerous shot by Julius Schlacher in the 94th minute.
Sommerein's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
