Seating: 98, VIP seats: 0) Gilvan Severo made the kick off and thus started the match. After a defensive mix-up in Moquem's zone, Iurie Enoiu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vivaldo Silveira came out of the goal and Iurie Enoiu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cristian Spineanu charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cristian Spineanu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Cristian Spineanu kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. In the 10th minute, Gilvan Severo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alexandre Velloso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francisc Vrabie having to interfere. Gilvan Severo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 18th minute of the match Galata FC got a corner. Moquem's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Cristian Spineanu ran over to the corner to take the kick. Kiko Mattos thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Vivaldo Silveira, a very annoying self made goal in the 18th minute which led to 0-1. Eusebiu Neagu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dragoş Lupoi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 30 minutes into the match, Galata FC's Eusebiu Neagu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vivaldo Silveira narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Moquem's Chico Romero quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Emanuel Mercescu, made in the 32nd minute of the game. Gilvan Severo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Francisc Vrabie having to make a save. The supporters of Galata FC booed when Moquem was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kiko Mattos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Francisc Vrabie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilvan Severo in the 46th minute of the match. The supporters of Moquem booed when Galata FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emanuel Mercescu didn't get a good kick on the ball.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dragoş Lupoi was the one to do the kick off. If William Mota had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gilvan Severo in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Francisc Vrabie saved Galata FC from getting behind. Gilvan Severo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francisc Vrabie having to interfere. When Iurie Enoiu fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Galata FC's protests and gave Iurie Enoiu a yellow card for diving instead. Iurie Enoiu hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. In the 63rd match minute, Galata FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicolae Macaneață to maneuver through the defense. Gilvan Severo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 73 minutes into the match, Galata FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gilvan Severo came free, but Francisc Vrabie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Francisc Vrabie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilvan Severo, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. A collision led to Moquem getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Mané Lara hit a great ball. Moquem were furious when Nildo Diniz was red carded, 91 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 95 minutes into the game, William Mota was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Moquem's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Galata FC the free kick.
Galata FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
