The audience thought a goal was coming when Argyris Zagorakis got free with Igor Taffarel in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Igor Taffarel was a little too slow when Miguel Rodríguez got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 6th minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 9th minute of the match, Argyris Zagorakis got a very nice opportunity to score, but Igor Taffarel was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 11th minute Argyris Zagorakis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Igor Taffarel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kıvanç Yücesan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Davi Dal Bello in the 13th minute of the match. If Argyris Zagorakis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Igor Taffarel made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Argyris Zagorakis sent off a good shot on target. Kıvanç Yücesan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Davi Dal Bello went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Kıvanç Yücesan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leopoldo Loureiro in the 21st minute of play. Argyris Zagorakis struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Igor Taffarel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Pfullendorf. 29 minutes into the match, SC Pfullendorf's goal looked a bit too open when Davi Dal Bello came free, but Kıvanç Yücesan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Dal 3ello booed when SC Pfullendorf was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Veto Harroyo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in SC Pfullendorf's zone, Leopoldo Loureiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kıvanç Yücesan came out of the goal and Leopoldo Loureiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kong Guo Chong sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The audience was convinced that Diogo Dal Bello's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kıvanç Yücesan was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. SC Pfullendorf's David Moya got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kıvanç Yücesan was a little too slow when Felipe Dal Bello got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 86th minute. The score was now 2-2. After 93 played minutes SC Pfullendorf got a freekick which was hit by David Moya. Felipe Dal Bello scored 2-3 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kıvanç Yücesan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Dal 3ello's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
