After having played for 4 minutes, Octavio Gonzo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rafaela FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Octavio Gonzo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rafaela FC's Rodrigo-Sebastian Palacio got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Rodrigo-Sebastian Palacio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rodrigo-Sebastian Palacio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Jannes Ruttens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nicky Bryson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rafaela FC's Inocencio Veronica played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Beto Montenegro in the 18th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Octavio Gonzo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jannes Ruttens. That made the score 1-0 in the 20 minute of play. Jannes Ruttens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodrigo-Sebastian Palacio, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Beto Montenegro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Inocencio Veronica having to interfere. In the 36th minute Nicky Bryson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Inocencio Veronica saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Inocencio Veronica showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Beto Montenegro in the 37th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in C. A. Pipon Pipon's zone, Rodrigo-Sebastian Palacio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jannes Ruttens came out of the goal and Rodrigo-Sebastian Palacio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 41st minute, Justus Lintorf hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jannes Ruttens made an important save on a dangerous shot by Camillo Daniele in the 46th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rodrigo-Sebastian Palacio to make the kick off. Inocencio Veronica showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Beto Montenegro in the 53rd minute of the match. Jose José kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Ross Strong hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Ubaldo Lluis kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. 58 minutes into the match, Rafaela FC's goalkeeper Inocencio Veronica had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nicky Bryson. Jannes Ruttens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Octavio Gonzo in the 59th minute of the match. In the 61st minute Emiliano Furia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jannes Ruttens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Inocencio Veronica didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Beto Montenegro went, in the 63rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Jannes Ruttens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Camillo Daniele in the 76th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodrigo-Sebastian Palacio in the 80th minute of play forced C. A. Pipon Pipon's goalkeeper Jannes Ruttens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 84 minutes into the match, Rafaela FC's goal looked a bit too open when Beto Montenegro came free, but Inocencio Veronica reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
