Falcão Cabral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cido Furlan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 14th minute Mané Garrincha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Falcão Cabral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 16th minute, Mané Garrincha ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Falcão Cabral was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Hélder dos Santos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 21 minutes into the match, LauerArmy's goal looked a bit too open when Cido Furlan came free, but Falcão Cabral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 29th match minute, LauerArmy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aílton Campidelis to maneuver through the defense. Alberto Valladares hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. After 32 played minutes, LauerArmy's Geovanni Zonta shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Alfredo Linares came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in LauerArmy reached it. LauerArmy's Falcão Cabral proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save LauerArmy from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, LauerArmy's Aílton Campidelis got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Falcão Cabral didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mané Garrincha went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. In the 48th minute, Giuseppe Mazza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Frank Sten to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute Cido Furlan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Falcão Cabral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alfredo Linares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romeu Prado in the 63rd minute of play. Cesinha Dias's late challenge caught a LauerArmy's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cesinha Dias helped the player get up and apologised. Cesinha Dias hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Villaverde Celeste Clube's Cido Furlan got a free kick in the 67th minute. The supporters of Villaverde Celeste Clube booed when LauerArmy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Giuseppe Mazza didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 72 played minutes LauerArmy got a freekick which was hit by Paulo Jardel. 77 minutes into the match, Villaverde Celeste Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Guga Freire came free, but Alfredo Linares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Villaverde Celeste Clube's Alfredo Linares got control of the ball when Ismael Mattos tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Villaverde Celeste Clube booed when LauerArmy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Giuseppe Mazza didn't get a good kick on the ball. With 81 minutes on the clock, Rony Ramalho commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Róbson Donato, 83 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Alfredo Linares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guga Freire, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. In the 90th minute, Frank Sten hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Falcão Cabral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frank Sten in the 91st minute of the match. Guga Freire fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfredo Linares having to interfere. Villaverde Celeste Clube's Alfredo Linares proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Villaverde Celeste Clube from getting a goal against them.
Villaverde Celeste Clube were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of LauerArmy for a fine match.
