Yunus-Emre Balcik made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Gwidon Arnista sent off a good shot on target. In the 22nd minute, Morten Langørgen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marian Gniech was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. A collision led to Zagórna getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Gică Popescu hit a great ball. When the match clock showed 26 minutes, the score became 0-2 when İrfan Altıncığlu sped through Zagórna's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Marian Gniech. The corner ended in Gilen Zabalo almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Zagórna's Marian Gniech did a great save. Zagórna's Marian Gniech played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Denis Barber in the 33rd minute of play. 34 minutes into the match, Osmanlı İmparatorluğu's goalkeeper Yunus-Emre Balcik had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gwidon Arnista. Yunus-Emre Balcik made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tiburcio Kiliz in the 37th minute of play. After 47th play minutes Gwidon Arnista shot 1-2, a short shot which went by Yunus-Emre Balcik and just under the crossbar into goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell İrfan Altıncığlu to make the kick off. Zagórna's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gilen Zabalo ran over to the corner to take the kick.
