The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Andarilhos's Jon Oblak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zigmantas Gimbutas in the 3rd minute of play. Laçın Cumayev made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Fu Han Qiang sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Andarilhos booed when SC Braga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jon-Egil Sætre didn't get a good kick on the ball. Chinagorom 张飞 kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. 49 minutes into the match, Andarilhos's goal looked a bit too open when Benjamin de Lara came free, but Jon Oblak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

In the 53rd minute of the match, Benjamin de Lara got a very nice opportunity to score, but Jon Oblak was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After 55 played minutes Andarilhos got a freekick which was hit by Jarbas Pinheiro. A collision led to SC Braga getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Valdomiro Lira hit a great ball. Laçın Cumayev showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fu Han Qiang in the 61st minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Andarilhos's Luís Espinosa got a free kick in the 63rd minute. SC Braga made a substitution. Geraldo Lucas replaced André Jordão. After 65 played minutes Andarilhos got a freekick which was hit by Luís Espinosa. A collision led to SC Braga getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Zigmantas Gimbutas hit a great ball. Stig-Åke Mattsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jarbas Pinheiro made in the 76th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Trifon Katsoulis immediately put the ball in play. Stig-Åke Mattsson succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-1 in the 80th playminute. The corner ended in Antonio Cieri almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Andarilhos's Jon Oblak did a great save. 92 minutes into the game, Stig-Åke Mattsson recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jon Oblak. Stig-Åke Mattsson showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Stig-Åke Mattsson in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jon Oblak saved Andarilhos from getting behind.

The SC Braga players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
