But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gong Yi Feng couldn't finish the play. Donato Souza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abel de Godoi in the 44th minute of play. Abel de Godoi might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Donato Souza. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Abel de Godoi ran back to his position shaking his head. Donato Souza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abel de Godoi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Donato Souza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abel de Godoi, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute.
Olivedos's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
