The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 14th minute, Marcel da Rocha reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Feliciano Elodio. The goal made the score 2-0. After a defensive mix-up in 1989 Blxsk's zone, Marcel da Rocha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Feliciano Elodio came out of the goal and Marcel da Rocha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 22nd minute Desiderio Ostargi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Braulio Gartxot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Feliciano Elodio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcel da Rocha in the 28th minute of play. After 31 minutes of play, 1989 Blxsk's Desiderio Ostargi made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Braulio Gartxot was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 34th minute Desiderio Ostargi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Braulio Gartxot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 40 minutes, Feliciano Elodio successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 41 minutes into the game, Luke De Kelper threw the ball into play from the sideline. Red Devils's Slawomir Trzaskoma quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Marcel da Rocha to strike the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marcel da Rocha in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Feliciano Elodio saved 1989 Blxsk from getting behind. The supporters of Red Devils booed when 1989 Blxsk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Severino Furman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vinicio Jakes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Red Devils's Sebastian Zawadzki was substituted for Radoslaw Solibieda. Red Devils's attentive Slawomir Trzaskoma managed to snatch the ball when Alvaro Tiniebra made a throw-in in the 67th minute of the game. After 68 played minutes Red Devils got a freekick which was hit by Kazimierz Deyna. Marcel da Rocha's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Feliciano Elodio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. If Miguel Godoy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Braulio Gartxot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Desiderio Ostargi in the 77th minute of play. Braulio Gartxot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Desiderio Ostargi, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Feliciano Elodio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marcel da Rocha went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. After 89 minutes of play, Red Devils's Marcel da Rocha made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Feliciano Elodio was left in no man's land by his defense there! Braulio Gartxot didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Celestino Millano went, in the 96th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-2 was the resulting score. 1989 Blxsk's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
