An unexpectedly hard shot by Felix Lehior in the 10th minute of play forced Inter de Chillán's goalkeeper José Ignacio Rocha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Felix Lehior's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but José Ignacio Rocha read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. Oflador FC 2003's Godfredo Frascuelo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juan Luis Dittborn in the 17th minute of play. Godfredo Frascuelo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Juan Luis Dittborn's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. After having played for 22 minutes, Victoriano Cruz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Oflador FC 2003's supporters crossed their fingers, but Victoriano Cruz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 24th minute of the game. One of Inter de Chillán:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Oflador FC 2003:s goal. After a rather tough play, Oflador FC 2003's Victoriano Cruz got a free kick in the 26th minute. Juan Luis Dittborn recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Steve Vaid had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. José Ignacio Rocha stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Victoriano Cruz's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. 37 minutes into the match, Felix Lehior had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of José Ignacio Rocha. Inter de Chillán's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Felix Lehior was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Serafino Xabat hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. In the 42nd minute Felix Lehior shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Ignacio Rocha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Juan Luis Dittborn made a kick off. When Inter de Chillán's Giuseppe Meazza in the 51st minute got a chance for a shot 51st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A sloppy throw-in by Lothar Matthæus in the 56th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Oflador FC 2003's Narciso Ospetsu. Godfredo Frascuelo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juan Luis Dittborn, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Inter de Chillán's Juan Luis Dittborn in the 59th minute got a chance for a shot 59th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Oflador FC 2003's goalie prevented a goal. Rogerio Berecedo kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. José Ignacio Rocha made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Felix Lehior sent off a good shot on target. Oflador FC 2003's Jimeno Eutor was substituted for Felix Lehior. In the 80th match minute, Oflador FC 2003 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victoriano Cruz to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juan Luis Alfaro in the 81st minute of play forced Oflador FC 2003's goalkeeper Godfredo Frascuelo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 87th minute, Francisco Lacunza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 90thth minute of the game Juan Luis Alfaro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Oflador FC 2003's Godfredo Frascuelo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The Inter de Chillán supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Oflador FC 2003's performance. The match ended with a win for Oflador FC 2003.
