The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 13th minute, Pipis Karapatakis reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Sebastián Torrico. The goal made the score 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Shen Song in the 16th minute of play forced Grêmio FBPA's goalkeeper Jardel Sanches to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Shen Song's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jardel Sanches was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. After 20 minutes Grêmio FBPA's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Julien Million who took care of the corner kick. Pipis Karapatakis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 26th minute, Shen Song hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jardel Sanches made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aquilino Luke in the 28th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aquilino Luke in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jardel Sanches saved Grêmio FBPA from getting behind. After a rather tough play, C.F.Fuenlabrada's Aquilino Luke got a free kick in the 41st minute. After 41 played minutes, Grêmio FBPA's Rafa de Almeida shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Sebastián Torrico came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Grêmio FBPA reached it. After 47 minutes of play, C.F.Fuenlabrada's Aquilino Luke made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jardel Sanches was left in no man's land by his defense there! After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

If Filiph Biörling had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, C.F.Fuenlabrada's Julien Million got a free kick in the 55th minute. Sebastián Torrico showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pipis Karapatakis, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. 62 minutes into the match, C.F.Fuenlabrada's goal looked a bit too open when Pipis Karapatakis came free, but Sebastián Torrico reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aquilino Luke in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jardel Sanches prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 67 played minutes C.F.Fuenlabrada got a freekick which was hit by Charly Izquierdoz. In the 68th minute, Charly Izquierdoz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 74th match minute, Grêmio FBPA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Deivid de Sena to maneuver through the defense. Jardel Sanches made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gaspar Odol in the 77th minute. Alberto Estevon made in the 83rd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Pipis Karapatakis however managed to control. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gaspar Odol in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jardel Sanches saved Grêmio FBPA from getting behind. The supporters of Grêmio FBPA booed when C.F.Fuenlabrada was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ricard Ferrer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sebastián Torrico showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pipis Karapatakis in the 92nd minute of the match. Jardel Sanches took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gaspar Odol, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
