Honduras's Eraldo Guzman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Honduras from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Jordan getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Oscar Chappell hit a great ball. 14 minutes into the match, Honduras's goalkeeper Eraldo Guzman had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Patrick Mann. Eraldo Guzman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christopher Lofthouse, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. When the match clock showed 16 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Christopher Lofthouse sped through Honduras's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Eraldo Guzman. A sloppy throw-in by Phillip Coe in the 18th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Honduras's Gilberto Quijada. Honduras were awarded a corner in the 22th minute after Jordan's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Misael Sigaran took the corner. Marty Brooks thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Ken Warner, a very annoying self made goal in the 23rd minute which led to 1-1. 26 minutes into the match, Jordan's goal looked a bit too open when Sultan-Mehmet Khan came free, but Ken Warner reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raúl Corpeño in the 29th minute of play forced Jordan's goalkeeper Ken Warner to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 30th minute of the match, Christopher Lofthouse tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Eraldo Guzman saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Honduras's Eraldo Guzman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hugh Pope in the 32nd minute of play. Eraldo Guzman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hugh Pope in the 36th minute of the match. 37 minutes into the match, Honduras's Carlos Gutierrez sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ken Warner narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Phillip Coe's late challenge caught a Honduras's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Phillip Coe helped the player get up and apologised. Phillip Coe hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Raúl Corpeño was the one to do the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Christopher Lofthouse during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 54th minute, Sultan-Mehmet Khan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ken Warner was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. After a rather tough play, Jordan's Tyrone Coleman got a free kick in the 56th minute. Jordan's defense didn't have a chance, in the 58th minute, when Misael Sigaran scored to the left of an out of position Ken Warner, making the score, 1-3. Sultan-Mehmet Khan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 62 played minutes Honduras got a freekick which was hit by Gilberto Quijada. The audience was convinced that Sultan-Mehmet Khan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ken Warner was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. 70 minutes into the match, Jordan's goalkeeper Ken Warner had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Raúl Corpeño. 76 minutes into the match, Sultan-Mehmet Khan dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ken Warner, 1-4. In the 79th match minute, Jordan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oscar Chappell to maneuver through the defense. Ken Warner showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sultan-Mehmet Khan in the 80th minute of the match. Eraldo Guzman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hugh Pope in the 81st minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Raúl Corpeño got free with Ken Warner in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 91st minute Hugh Pope shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eraldo Guzman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Raúl Corpeño sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Phillip Coe was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 95 minutes had been played. After 96 played minutes Jordan got a freekick which was hit by Phillip Coe. Ken Warner came out of the goal in the 97th minute to try and stop a shot by Honduras's Sultan-Mehmet Khan. But to his dismay, Sultan-Mehmet Khan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5.
