The supporters of ★Stadion Śląski Chorzów★™ booed when Club El Progreso was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ioan Cândea didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alvise Di Crescenzo struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Benjamin Tino didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ★Stadion Śląski Chorzów★™. Kurt Björkdahl made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cleto Cordaro in the 14th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alvise Di Crescenzo got free with Benjamin Tino in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 20 minutes into the match, Club El Progreso's goalkeeper Benjamin Tino had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alvise Di Crescenzo. The audience was convinced that Alvise Di Crescenzo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benjamin Tino was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. In the 25th minute, Ioan Cândea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Club El Progreso's Benjamin Tino proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Club El Progreso from getting a goal against them. 43 minutes into the match, ★Stadion Śląski Chorzów★™'s goal looked a bit too open when Indiana Jones came free, but Kurt Björkdahl reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Club El Progreso's Benjamin Tino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alvise Di Crescenzo in the 47th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alvise Di Crescenzo to make the kick off. ★Stadion Śląski Chorzów★™ were awarded a corner in the 59th minute after Club El Progreso's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Saturnino Nafarroa took the corner. 63 minutes into the match, Cleto Cordaro notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of ★Stadion Śląski Chorzów★™'s Kurt Björkdahl. Kurt Björkdahl was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Indiana Jones in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kurt Björkdahl prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 81st match minute, ★Stadion Śląski Chorzów★™ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ewald Cebula to maneuver through the defense. If Indiana Jones had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alvise Di Crescenzo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benjamin Tino read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, ★Stadion Śląski Chorzów★™'s Alvise Di Crescenzo got a free kick in the 85th minute. 86 minutes into the game, Club El Progreso's Indiana Jones nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kurt Björkdahl made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Benjamin Tino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alvise Di Crescenzo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Indiana Jones scored 0-3 in the 92nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kurt Björkdahl, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Kurt Björkdahl made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cleto Cordaro in the 95th minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Club El Progreso walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
