The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Leonardo Giroud hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. Mete Nared received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Ivan Turina tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Örebro FF's Geovani Dracena got a free kick in the 12th minute. After 13 played minutes, Vila Nova FC's Luca Postelnicescu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ivan Turina came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Vila Nova FC reached it. Ivan Turina took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cléber Basso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 21 played minutes Vila Nova FC got a freekick which was hit by Cléber Basso. Rutger Magnusson kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. The corner ended in Gaafar Jesus almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Vila Nova FC's Fiori Mota did a great save. In the 29th minute Vladimir Lara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivan Turina saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ivan Turina came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Vila Nova FC's Vladimir Lara. But to his dismay, Vladimir Lara quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Ivan Turina showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mete Nared, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. 37 minutes into the match, Cléber Basso had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ivan Turina. Örebro FF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cléber Basso was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Ivan Turina showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luca Postelnicescu in the 41st minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Vila Nova FC's zone, Gaafar Jesus stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fiori Mota came out of the goal and Gaafar Jesus tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rutger Magnusson was the one to do the kick off. With his leg Ivan Turina managed to avoid a goal in the 56thth minute, when Vila Nova FC's Mete Nared fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. With splendid footwork Mete Nared arrived in front of goal to shoot 0-3 by the left pole in the game's 56th minute. Ivan Turina made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vladimir Lara in the 60th minute of play. In the 63rd minute, Luca Postelnicescu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Örebro FF's Ivan Turina proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Örebro FF from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Örebro FF's zone, Luca Postelnicescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ivan Turina came out of the goal and Luca Postelnicescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ivan Turina made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vladimir Lara in the 76th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cléber Basso in the 77th minute of play forced Örebro FF's goalkeeper Ivan Turina to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cléber Basso got free with Ivan Turina in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 79 played minutes Örebro FF got a freekick which was hit by Enes Akdoğan. Fiori Mota took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gaafar Jesus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wieslaw Lagiewniki's late challenge caught a Vila Nova FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Wieslaw Lagiewniki helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Vila Nova FC booed when Örebro FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wieslaw Lagiewniki didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jiang Nan Han could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Ivan Turina made a huge save. With a little luck, Örebro FF's Ivan Turina got control of the ball when Mete Nared tried to sneak it across the goal line. Vila Nova FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Luca Postelnicescu in the 90th minute. A nice corner shot did that Luca Postelnicescu got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ivan Turina quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 93 minutes into the match, Vila Nova FC's Luca Postelnicescu broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Geovani Dracena kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match.
