Reko-Recko 03™'s Angelino Nueva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilton Vale in the 8th minute of play. Angelino Nueva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilton Vale, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. The corner ended in Bernard Letourneau almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Reko-Recko 03™'s Angelino Nueva did a great save. Wilton Vale scored 0-1 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Angelino Nueva, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Reko-Recko 03™'s Angelino Nueva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilton Vale in the 19th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Xande Cabezudo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Reko-Recko 03™'s supporters rose to their feet, but Xande Cabezudo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rodolfo Salgado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to TAQUARI FC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Valer Covaliu hit a great ball. Wilton Vale's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Angelino Nueva read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. The throw-in from Chupan Doar in the 30th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Reko-Recko 03™'s Leandro de Almeida. When Leandro de Almeida fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Reko-Recko 03™'s protests and gave Leandro de Almeida a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Reko-Recko 03™ getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Leandro de Almeida hit a great ball. Angelino Nueva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilton Vale, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wilton Vale's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Angelino Nueva read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. In the 42nd minute of the match TAQUARI FC got a corner. Reko-Recko 03™'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Bernard Letourneau ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Reko-Recko 03™'s goalie and right to Frank Lampard. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Reko-Recko 03™'s manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. TAQUARI FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Bernard Letourneau in the 47th minute. The corner led TAQUARI FC's Bernard Letourneau to fire away a dangerous shot which Angelino Nueva despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Xande Cabezudo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Angelino Nueva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilton Vale in the 54th minute of play. In the 57th minute, Wilton Vale made a precise shot to the right of Angelino Nueva. Reko-Recko 03™'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. 65 minutes into the game, TAQUARI FC's Wilton Vale nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Angelino Nueva made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Reko-Recko 03™ made a substitution. Cipriano França replaced Carlos Augusto Sá. If Frank Lampard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. TAQUARI FC's Yoel Alfaro was substituted for Bernard Letourneau. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched TAQUARI FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
