In the 3rd minute, Saul Hartz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Senthil Suşu took the ball and in the 4 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cesar Malvin. Cesar Malvin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Hubert Siöberg charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hubert Siöberg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 9 played minutes Eleven Nation Army got a freekick which was hit by Hubert Siöberg. Cesar Malvin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Senthil Suşu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Qian Xing Wei showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Florentino Santos in the 19th minute of the match. The corner ended in Viggo Lundkvist almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Legion Roja FC's Cesar Malvin did a great save. When Gonzalo Xabier fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Legion Roja FC's protests and gave Gonzalo Xabier a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Legion Roja FC's Gonzalo Xabier got a free kick in the 24th minute. After 25 played minutes, Eleven Nation Army's Viggo Lundkvist shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Cesar Malvin came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Eleven Nation Army reached it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Senthil Suşu in the 26th minute of play forced Legion Roja FC's goalkeeper Cesar Malvin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cesar Malvin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Viggo Lundkvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Cesar Malvin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Helge Brun in the 29th minute of play. A collision led to Legion Roja FC getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Ricardo Roland hit a great ball. Legion Roja FC's Cesar Malvin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viggo Lundkvist in the 34th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Florentino Santos in the 35th minute of play forced Eleven Nation Army's goalkeeper Qian Xing Wei to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cesar Malvin was out of position in the 36 minute of play, and Viggo Lundkvist capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Viggo Lundkvist really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Viggo Lundkvist in the 41st minute of play forced Legion Roja FC's goalkeeper Cesar Malvin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cesar Malvin made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Senthil Suşu sent off a good shot on target. If Tobias Karmel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Florentino Santos to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Helge Brun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cesar Malvin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Legion Roja FC's Gonzalo Xabier got a free kick in the 52nd minute. When Gonzalo Xabier was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 54 minutes had been played. The supporters of Eleven Nation Army booed when Legion Roja FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gonzalo Xabier didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cesar Malvin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Senthil Suşu, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Helge Brun in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cesar Malvin saved Legion Roja FC from getting behind. Helge Brun scored 3-0 in the 65th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cesar Malvin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 68 minutes, Jonatan Skräddare mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Eleven Nation Army and the Legion Roja FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. With a little luck, Eleven Nation Army's Qian Xing Wei got control of the ball when Fausto Hermelando tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some careless play in the Legion Roja FC defense, Viggo Lundkvist kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cesar Malvin. The Legion Roja FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cesar Malvin should have stopped the shot. Legion Roja FC's Cesar Malvin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Senthil Suşu in the 81st minute of play. Eleven Nation Army's supporters crossed their fingers, but Viggo Lundkvist was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 94th minute Viggo Lundkvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cesar Malvin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Eleven Nation Army fans cheered their team off the field, for while Legion Roja FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
