Pedro Luís Batista recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Oséas Santana kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. In the 12th minute of the match Stefan Eriksson sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Didi Tróia skillfully saved the ball. Blåvitt's Mike Cassar Torreggiani played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Luís Batista in the 14th minute of play. In the 17th minute, Ernst Tönnberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 22 minutes, Mike Cassar Torreggiani successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. A well-hit corner resulted in Elias Batista heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. If Örjan Johansson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Michel Lundberg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Didi Tróia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. Mike Cassar Torreggiani made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Luís Batista in the 36th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Michel Lundberg in the 38th minute of play forced ContraVersão's goalkeeper Didi Tróia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Blåvitt's Mike Cassar Torreggiani proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Blåvitt from getting a goal against them. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gösta Lundberg was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fausto de Mendonça in the 57th minute of play forced Blåvitt's goalkeeper Mike Cassar Torreggiani to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 57th minute, Kevin Ekberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mike Cassar Torreggiani took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Adolfo Lara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. ContraVersão's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Patrick Salkvist in the 68th minute. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Blåvitt's goalie and right to Pedro Luís Batista. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Blåvitt's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 71st minute Elias Batista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mike Cassar Torreggiani saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Blåvitt getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Örjan Johansson hit a great ball. In the 77th minute, Pedro Luís Batista left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ContraVersão fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. In the 80th match minute, ContraVersão was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patrick Salkvist to maneuver through the defense. Mike Cassar Torreggiani showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ross Caldwell in the 84th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fausto de Mendonça in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mike Cassar Torreggiani prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 95 minutes into the match, Blåvitt's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Luís Batista came free, but Mike Cassar Torreggiani reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Blåvitt players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for ContraVersão.
