Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell João Severino to make the kick off. The supporters of MARTINETA booed when Atlético Bucaramanga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sotero Abrea didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind MARTINETA's goalkeeper Bartolo Beliran, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a little luck, Atlético Bucaramanga's Luizinho Paranaense got control of the ball when Carlos Cesaro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Atlético Bucaramanga's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
