With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alfonso Görlitz in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Baturay Özluer saved Karpuzlu from getting behind. In the 5th match minute, Karpuzlu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Semavi Umuralp to maneuver through the defense. Arnim Blank received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Baturay Özluer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Baturay Özluer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfonso Görlitz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 26th minute of the match Bentgerhof FSV got a corner. Karpuzlu's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Marcel Hoffman ran over to the corner to take the kick. 27 minutes into the game, Semavi Umuralp was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Karpuzlu's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bentgerhof FSV the free kick. After a rather tough play, Karpuzlu's Semavi Umuralp got a free kick in the 27th minute. When Arnim Blank came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Bentgerhof FSV fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arnim Blank couldn't finish the play. Semavi Umuralp got his second yellow card in the match during the 29th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 30 played minutes Karpuzlu got a freekick which was hit by Semavi Umuralp. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arnim Blank got free with Baturay Özluer in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Erbatur Kutan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alfons Behnert's late challenge caught a Karpuzlu's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alfons Behnert helped the player get up and apologised. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alfonso Görlitz was the one to do the kick off. Alfonso Görlitz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Erbatur Kutan charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Erbatur Kutan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 56 played minutes Karpuzlu got a freekick which was hit by Erbatur Kutan. Marcel Hoffman took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 56th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Baturay Özluer. Karpuzlu's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 58th minute, Bentgerhof FSV's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Erol Can fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 69th minute of the match Marcel Hoffman sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Baturay Özluer skillfully saved the ball. Erol Can's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rollo Trieb read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. In the 75thth minute of the game Alfonso Görlitz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Karpuzlu's Baturay Özluer was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Arnim Blank took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Baturay Özluer. Baturay Özluer dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Erol Can scored 2-2 in the 87th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rollo Trieb, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 97thth minute of the game Arnim Blank who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Karpuzlu's Baturay Özluer was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
