A collision led to GALATASARAY getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Seyrani Özsahin hit a great ball. If Aşır Hayal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 13 minutes, Dmitriy Ganenfeldt mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Izhevsk FC and the GALATASARAY players grew even worse after the yellow card. Timofey Golant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aşır Hayal in the 20th minute of play. Izhevsk FC were furious when Kliment Emelyanov was red carded, 22 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in Izhevsk FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 22nd minute. Penalty! Timofey Golant had in the 24thth minute some difficulties stopping Yağızalp Isfahanlı's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 24 minutes into the game, Yağızalp Isfahanlı cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Timofey Golant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 30 played minutes Izhevsk FC got a freekick which was hit by Samuil Fomichev. Aşır Hayal was extremely unlucky when he, in the 34th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After a defensive mix-up in Izhevsk FC's zone, Muhittin Mesut stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Timofey Golant came out of the goal and Muhittin Mesut tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Taner Oker's late challenge caught a Izhevsk FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Taner Oker helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, GALATASARAY's Taner Oker got a free kick in the 38th minute. Timofey Golant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aşır Hayal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 48th minute of the match GALATASARAY got a corner. Izhevsk FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Yağızalp Isfahanlı ran over to the corner to take the kick.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Aşır Hayal made a kick off. In the 52nd minute Aşır Hayal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Timofey Golant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 52 minutes of play, GALATASARAY's Aşır Hayal made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Timofey Golant was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of GALATASARAY booed when Izhevsk FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Konstantin Volosov didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 60th minute, Seyrani Özsahin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Timofey Golant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Muhittin Mesut, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of GALATASARAY booed when Izhevsk FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Konstantin Volosov didn't get a good kick on the ball. But to his dismay, Aşır Hayal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Izhevsk FC's Dmitriy Ganenfeldt managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Batı Ferhat in the 75 minute of the game. The supporters of GALATASARAY booed when Izhevsk FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vitaliy Odintsov didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 83rd minute Muhittin Mesut shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Timofey Golant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 88 played minutes Izhevsk FC got a freekick which was hit by Konstantin Volosov. Timofey Golant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aşır Hayal in the 89th minute of play. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aşır Hayal couldn't finish the play.
