Jim Hägert fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without 于诚庭 having to interfere. A collision led to Hübbersfield SV getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Alf Hammarström hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Hübbersfield SV's Erik Stålman got a free kick in the 24th minute. 26 minutes into the match, Hübbersfield SV's goalkeeper Rasmus Lund had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by 宋威益. AJ Auxerre were awarded a corner in the 27th minute after Hübbersfield SV's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. 龙城亮 took the corner. 30 minutes into the match, Hübbersfield SV's goal looked a bit too open when 倪川风 came free, but Rasmus Lund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 苏威铮 blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rasmus Lund having to make a save. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when 苏威铮 made the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers 苏威铮 in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rasmus Lund saved Hübbersfield SV from getting behind. 于诚庭 made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bo Lindqvist in the 55th minute. Peter Törnblom kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by 宋威益 in the 65th minute of play forced Hübbersfield SV's goalkeeper Rasmus Lund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rasmus Lund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 宋威益 in the 72nd minute of play. After some careless play in the Hübbersfield SV defense, 苏威铮 kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rasmus Lund. The Hübbersfield SV fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rasmus Lund should have stopped the shot. Hübbersfield SV's Eric Ennegren was substituted for Peter Törnblom. Rasmus Lund took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 龙城亮, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rasmus Lund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 苏威铮, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. After 82 played minutes Hübbersfield SV got a freekick which was hit by Georg Gadd. In the 87thth minute of the game 宋威益 who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hübbersfield SV's Rasmus Lund was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Hübbersfield SV's Douglas Bäckström got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 93rd minute of the match, Bo Lindqvist got a very nice opportunity to score, but 于诚庭 was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 94th minute 苏威铮 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rasmus Lund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 黄西誉 hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. AJ Auxerre had won after a very even match.
